Non-duality
Time is a sand castle

A description of non-duality.

The absolute

All there is, is whatever is. That is a statement that cannot be used in any way shape or form. Non-duality is not an understanding. It is the absolute and direct everythingness that is this. You reading this, me typing this. My cat licking a plant. Donald Trump screaming bullshit. Anything. Therefore, it is not good nor bad, nor limited to a part of the everythingness. And therefore also, it is not perceivable. Because, how can I perceive anything that I already am? Perceiving something would require two things: the perceiver and the perceived. But, since the perceiver is the same as the perceived, it is impossible to perceive myself. How do we know then, that the absolute is, in fact, real? Why is time not real, but only a castle made of sand? The answer is not complex, but at the same time it cannot be said. When the perceiver vanishes, all there is left, is the unknown. A tree is no longer a tree, but nothing being a tree. The picture of the wave above, is chosen because it is, as far as I know, the most striking analogy to the absolute and relative. Water is the absolute, waves are the relative. They seem different, but they are the same. Absolutely, the same. All is nontwo.

The person

There seems to be something that covers this indescribable reality though. That thing we call the self. It is something that seems to get born, or arise, within the human being, and starts to interfere with everything that is going on in the appearance. So, working hard becomes "I work hard", and pain becomes "I have pain". This added mental "blanket" creates an enormous complexity to everything. Things are approached through the person, that really thinks that there is another person that has to be dealt with. The thing is, this whole blanket, everything of it, is an illusion. An individual is not seeing reality, it is seeing itself. It's own created "knowing", which is their world only. For the person, there is only waves. Only when the person falls away, there is both waves and water.
